Plumbers Taps!
"Plumbers taps" they say kindly, or "builders house" trying to make it alright, as yet again I apologise for the look of the ancient and embarrassing web site that has graced our domain for the last couple of years. Each time I looked at the old web site I shivered to think that people would look at it and judge us by it - oh if only they would click on to your portfolio and see some of the nice sites that we have completed recently!
However we always remember that clients work comes first, and upgrading our own site was....just a vanity really. (Our clients also remember that their work comes first, so a week or two to finish our new site have been out of the question!)
Well I'm shivering no more, and to our immense relief and with a final push from Josh, we finally went live with the longest gestated web site in Cornwall.
I have to say that for now the layout is a fairly standard look, and there is plenty more work to do to get our new site looking as we'd like. However at least we are now on the latest Joomla 1.5.6 Content managed web system (That's the world's most popular open source CMS to you and me), and with a site that while still not very customised, at least doesn't make the hair on the back of my neck stand up.
Please read and enjoy our new site, and do feel free to look through our web development client portfolio to the older and more recent work we have undertaken for clients.
A lot of our work you also can't see - software development projects that don't create web sites - some exciting announcements coming up there soon - or the web marketing courses where we have enjoyed revealing to hungry Cornish businessmen the secrets of building traffic, reputation, and sales on the web. But at least we can now showcase ourselves with a modern, standards compliant, reasonably accessible, and at least professional looking web site.
- To those clients who have come to us despite the appearance of our old web site - thank you. You clearly see past the superficial.
- To any that didn't - well - it was quite poor wasn't it!
OK enough, please feel free to look if you have a minute, on:
